Backbuilding

Backbuilding, also called bud pinching, is a cannabis cultivation technique where the tip of a maturing bud is carefully snipped during mid-flowering. This encourages the plant to redirect energy into lateral calyx development, producing rounder, denser flowers without increasing height. While it does not necessarily boost total yield, it enhances bud uniformity and aesthetics, which can be valuable for presentation and trimming.
