Cutting (clone)

A cutting is the excised shoot segment taken from a mother plant that includes nodes (potential root sites) and usually one or more leaves. Proper cutting technique—clean shear, angled cut, and quick placement into medium—minimizes stress and infection while maximizing rooting potential.
