Determinant vs Indeterminant

In cannabis and other plants, determinant growth means the plant has a set size and flowering period, after which growth ceases. Indeterminant growth, by contrast, continues producing new shoots and flowers over time. Most cannabis cultivars are indeterminant to varying degrees, continuing to stretch and produce buds throughout flowering.

Autoflowers tend to show more determinant traits, while photoperiod plants lean indeterminant under extended growth cycles.
