Topical

Topicals (creams, balms, lotions) deliver cannabinoids to skin receptors to reduce localized pain or inflammation without significant systemic cannabinoid levels in most formulations. Transdermal systems (see below) differ by delivering cannabinoids through the skin into circulation. Topicals are favored for targeted therapy with limited psychoactive risk.
