Hey everyone,

Hope you're all doing well.

Decided to finally get started and germinated a first seed (Grapefruit) a bit over a week ago.
I then encountered some trouble with my newly-bought cabinet, namely the heat that the 250W light produces. As the cabinet is quite small, heat concentrates much and temperature quickly rose to 33°C. I decided to order an additional fan and also bought a humidifier, and also let the doors of my cabinet open for now. By doing all that and putting the thermostat on the ground, I managed to reduce the heat to around 26°C (at the ground level).

I am using Plagron Light Mix soil in 18L pots, although I only put probably about 14L of soil in it, as I wanted this plant to be a little lower than my 3 others which will follow sometime soon. As it's my 1st grow I told myself that I should start a first seed a week or two before the others so that I can experiment a bit with it. I will follow Tang's Easy Auto Schedule and use the AN line. It's been planted for 9 days now so I think I'll still wait for a few days before adding any nut.

I've been watering quite frequently but with very low doses.

Second problem I encountered: As there was too much heat I distanced the light from the plant. Bad idea. The following day, the poor little girl was growing thin and tall and started to fall over... :S I instantly put the light about 30-35cm away from the plant, supported her with a chopstick, and she has reacted very well to it. She is now standing by herself again :D

Pictures will be uploaded below.

Please share your thoughts and do not hesitate to give suggestions and advices!!

Thanks!

Peace,
