Light hrs as many as you can afford. Both of these were started the 1st of August. So your pretty close on size. As you can see, it can also be strain related. Closest one is a small strain.

if they're autoz, the basic rule o' thumb is 18/6 from start to finish...if photo, the same til u want em to flower, then 12/12

ya, 18/6 is the basic cycle for autoz...some do 20/4, otherz go all out with 24/0...then, there'z still otherz, like @archie gemmill (19/5), and me (17/7), cuz well, we're different

Yeah, 12/12 auto will be a debilitated grow. If you have lowish wattage led light, I suggest that you run the lights constantly if you can afford the electricity. Before Autocobs, I ran my led lights around the clock and liked it very much
To answer your question about veg..
Yes they are in veg and will be till about 8 to 9 weeks. Vegetative growth is well.....when the plant is physically growing. Day one of veg is when she first sees the light of day. Flower comes in (for autos) when the plant has reached a certain point of maturity, (photos require a light/time change) typically week 8 to 9. Good luck
