Hello All-

Noticed this brown rust looking spot and was wondering if there is an issue. She is planted in Roots Organic top layer and bottom layer is gbd soil from Mephisto mixed with Roots Organic.

Only been giving her distilled water with cal/mag. Recently upped the cal/mag from 1 teaspoon to 1 and 1/2 teaspoon.

Thoughts?

Thanks man! What's ur thoughts on stop the cal/mag and just give her plain distilled water!

no worries dude, yeah man, if it was me I would give just ph'd water, bottled spring water is the best, PH at source 6.2 is better.

I would'nt worry to much unless it starts spreading.Your plant looks great and adding more cal/mag is a good idea.It's hard to give to much cal/mag.

Wow. I think what I'll do is skip the cal/mag this round and if it gets worse give it more.

That's the the beauty of this site many opinions. I really love this GBD soil. No guessing with nutes

Jack'-- Ca toxicity is very unlikely,...symptoms do look like Ca defc., but a closer pic would help! it's pretty common to start up around this stage though, and using DI water, even with that dosage of Ca-Mg , it's not enough,... I see you upped the dose some, so let's see whatb that does for a 2-3 days,... it'll take that long to get in there and start halting progression,...

You are the man! Wasn't sure if I should halt cal/mag or continue on. I will add an additional 1/2 teaspoon which will give 2 teaspoons during tonight's watering. It's going on week 7. So if we're wrong it's life is ending soon anyway. Did I make sense?

yup, no need to go crazy with dosage, try a few rounds to ease the demand, then stop for you usual cleansing or flush period,...
