They have agreed to both grow @mephisto strains.

At this point I am going to ask each of them to step into the arena and give us full details exactly what they will be growing and what they will use.

Please keep in mind we will need lots of updates for this battle..

After some discussion in the challenge thread, it turned out that there wasn't any @mephisto strains that we both owned apart from 3BOG that we were already growing. Therefor we have gone down a slightly different path.
This could possibly be the first @mephisto mother vs. daughter battle. I shall be growing Toof Decay whilst as far as i am aware @Eyeoftheworld will be growing Illuminauto [HASHTAG]#7[/HASHTAG] the love child of Toof Decay and Fantasmo.
I try to keep my grows nice and simple, and let them do their own thing so there wont be too much training, just a little LST and defoliation at the most.

Pot size and type - 15l airpot
Medium - layered biobizz lightmix and allmix
Water - Dechlorinated tap water
Nutes - This is where i might mix things up. Usually i use a poundland trio of grow, bloom and PK boost and whilst they provide good results they are heavy on Nitrogen. I do have the Plant Magic Old Timers range on its way so that may make its debut....... or not, we'll see how risky i want to be. Plant Magic Magne Cal+ will be used along side whichever i opt for.

This girl will be sharing a 3x3x6 tent with 4 other plants, three 3BOG currently on day 38 and one Toofless alien on day 8. They will share three 300w leds ( 2 x mars and 1 x Vipar) and have a 600w space heater to keep temps stable as its freezing here right now.

I'm ready to soak my bean so as soon as @Eyeoftheworld gives the go ahead we'll get going.

I also like to keep things simple, so my Illuminauto 7 will be germinated and spend the first 2 or 3 weeks of her life in a quart sized root pouch.

Mix for seedlings:

Fills six quart sized pouches.

14 cups Black and gold seedling mix

9 cups Black and gold pumice

2 cups of Transplant formula

And 4 tablespoons of Dolomite

I will wait to see her structure before I decide on any training.



She will share a 76" x 76" x 76" tent with several other plants. Currently in the tent are several newly sprouted Jems, a germinating Dr. Feelgood, a 22 day old Stardawg, and a 52 day old 3BOG, Crystal Meth and LSD-25.

Lights currently in the tent are 2 - 300w 2nd generation 3100k roleadro LEDs and 1 - 300w ViparSpectra reflector. We will be adding more lighting in the next week.

Whirlpool dehumidifier, 2 small fans and a 6 inch exhaust are also currently in the tent.

Her pouch was mixed several days ago and has been kept moist and in my tent under the lights.

Looks like you've got the head start on me then. My tent has been rearranged. Just filled my pot, bottom 50% biobizz allmix, top 50% lightmix. Soil has, as tradition been dropped in my trusty shot glass (100% success rate so far) and placed next to the space heater over night. It will be put in the soil once it sinks.

I've got to be honest, I'm a little intimidated in this challenge. I've just seen some of the plants eye has pulled and they are a+. That didnt bother me too much as I've had a couple of decent ones myself but I've just realised I've picked one of Mephisto's smallest strains for the challenge. I need to pull something special off here I think otherwise I'll end up with a pretty uninspiring plant.
