Can severe stress affect genetics?

I had a really rough start with a plant I was going to do a seed run on... it's got 3 finger leaves and was stunted pretty severely... 5 weeks and it's about 5"s tall.

Would seeds produced from this plant be different than if it had started life in a more peaceful scenario?

It will be fine, ive bred runts and gotten giant seeds from them as well.

in my opinion stress may induce otherwise hidden traits, but shouldn't change genetics in any way
