Those are female flowers in the nodes where the branches meet the main stems. You see the little hairs coming out of of the end of the little bulb? They look red in your photos. Those are pistils to catch any pollen that may be floating around.
Dont see anything alarming in those pics just look like huge calyx with hairs coming out
