A good friend had a large outddoor harvest of Blue Dream. He let a plant hang in his basement for ~7 months.
He decided to take one and a half ounces and decarb and infuse a 1 lb. Of butter to make cookies.
He and I have been "testing" the results!
Historically, we both use cannabis edibles which we know the mg for medical conditions we have to sleep through the night.
Results from this 7 month hanging plant in edibles----after one cookie no effect, just extended sleep by an hour or so.
After 2 cookies no real pscho. effects except for extended sleep by 2 to 3 hours.
I'm guessing the oxidation of thc to greater amounts cbn might be causing these cookies to be like a sleeping pill such as ambien or valium.
Thought this might be good information for those with insomnia and or those who have an old dryed plant.
