Estimating dry weight from wet weight

Last year, first grow, I used a 25% deduction from wet to estimate dry and came out pretty close, that % intended to also account for a lumber deduction besides water. I don't have the right sort of scale to get wet weight on a plant I take down in whole, but no matter this year it's all by the branch and I used 30% because the first plant I took I also gave a clean water dip followed by 4-5 hrs. in sun and 12 mph. wind to help compensate that.

I know that not everyone bothers with it and in fact I've been snorted at in meat world for doing so. Regardless, I also know it's not just me that does bother. So...what percentage do you use and feel free to be as wordy as you're feeling. I'm hoping for some corroborating opinions so that I can spend my weekend walking like a pimp everywhere I go.
 
I've always assumed you lose 70-75% weight in drying.

It does help, thanks guys. I got high and did the bad maths :rofl: After adjusting my yield estimate, I can only pimp walk Saturday afternoon. :thumbsup:
