Probably the same way it works with photos.
But... I guess you'd have to select, select, select until you hit early flowering,
and then maybe pollinate numerous mothers with numerous fathers,
waiting until the end of flowering until you can narrow down which mothers (in particular) you'd want to keep.
Would have to pay attention to labeling individually pollinated branches, same mother, different fathers.
That would be my guess.
Maybe you could tag some of the known breeders here.
