Well, my first grow is about to reach harvest in a few weeks ( I think)! Exciting. However, I have a question about gnats.

I've installed sticky paper, diatomaceous earth and beneficial nematodes. Still have some gnats... but many less than when they first appeared.
My question is about harm to the flowers. As the trichomes start to grow more prominent, will the gnats harm the flowers/get stuck in there? I guess what I'm asking, do I have to worry about contamination of the flowers by bugs getting stuck on them?

Sorry, but I'm a real beginner and just excited to have gotten this far!!
Thanks!

If you have that many gnats, then yes.. Gnats can definitely get stuck in cannabis flowers if they are sticky enough. Bugs in weed is extremely common for outdoor grows... Indoors we have to be more concerned with dust and lent, ect.

drench soil with pyrethrum or neem oil. use the recommended application rates on packaging. Pyrethrum will burn plants if sprayed on leaves in day. Breaks down in soil relatively quickly.
