In the left corner: Sour Stomper Day 56. In the right: Gorilla Cookies Day 65. The Stomper in a 3 Ga fabric pot is taller, far more vigorous and developed, a beauty to behold. The Gorilla in 5 Ga pot is shorter, very bushy, its energies are expended on growing tons of small leaves while the buds are lagging behind. Both under same lights, both received similar LST, same nutes (Armor Si, CaliMagic, MaxiBloom, KoolBloom, PK Booster, ReCharge), both on self-watering bases.

Why are different strains, and even each plant, different?
Genetics (what genes are there and their sequences) and the randomness or luck of which genes are expressed/active and when. Plus plant cells are simpler vs. humans and mammals and do a much poorer job of copying DNA - more mutations. So not just each strain, but each plant can be assumed to be unique..
