Growing autoflowers using the "one bud" technique?

Has annons tried growing autoflowers with the "one bud" technique where you cut of the side nodes in order to produce one single bud on a stick.
Is it a waste of time to grow autoflowers like that? All i've got to work with is a 40x20 cm ground space

Personally that would be a waste but that's just me. Plus I have no idea what 40x20 is

It will be a small plant and won't yield much but it will be good fun and experience still, this is a Dos Si Dos Auto from Barney's Farm I just grew, max 10 gram of dry weight in the end but still caked in trichomes in the end and VERY potent smoke
