how long to make good mature seeds

both times I seeded a female I got immature seeds.well got a few good ones but they produced males.got a runt of a plant dark devil.6" that's just budding instead of frowning a gram iI thought I'd pollinate with my hbd pollen.just wann let go till I get a nice seed or ten......what's the normal length of grow once I see I got a seed brewing.

5-6 weeks from pollination given normal growing conditions in my experience.

1 seed or 10 well from my Expirience even if you only pollinate one of the lower Popcornbuds you end up with a good 50+ Seeds.
In my First Breeding i made the Misstake and Pollinated a Whole Lady. I still have 600+ Seeds from her and the Breeding was 2010 and i gave shitloads of Beans to Buddys.

Mature of Seeds depends on several Factors not only the Ripening Time. One of the most important is good viable Pollen if the Stud only blasts out bad Sperm there will be no good Seeds. So the first point to check is select a good Male.

Strain dependent i would say Treeman is quite good in 5-6 Weeks had some Sativas they were going up to 9-11 weeks till the Seeds were Mature.

Use proper pollination techniques and fertile pollen. Pollen that has been handled or stored improperly can result in some issues getting the seeds to come along at the right pace.

With that said, the most important thing is to just let them go. Don't pollinate a plant with the intention of it having any other purpose than reproduction. This way you can let the plant tell you when it's ready - just like all cannabis plants mature at different speeds, seeds will often mature at different speeds.

When the seeds are ready the calyxes will begin to split open and you'll see a slightly brown seed. When you see this happening to the majority of your calyxes not only on the primary cola(s) but a node further down - you're ready to harvest.

I planted 3 plants, 2 were female and 1 male... Well I planted a few plants and kept these 3. From seed to harvest was 70+ days. As long as it would have took to make smoke.

Hey guys this may not be the right place for this but I can't find much info
I just finished 5 fast and vast autos found 3 seeds. Now will these seeds be Hermie
or will they even germinate?they are mature Watcha think

They were probably created from a herm but could be just fine. If it was your own plants that pollinated them from a herm flower than they will be fem for sure but dose not mean they are herm them self's. Could also be that some one else in your neighbor hood is growing and you don't know it and there pollen infiltrated your grow space. I have also had old pollen from a previous grow pollinate a later crop. It was awesome because only my pre flowers got pollinated and not one seed in the buds. I would grow them out if your limited on seeds and just watch them close.

Breeding is a complicated thing to get right. Leave it to the pros would be my advice. Quality of genetics really set the tone for everything about the plants life, so zero room for errors and a learning curve.

I have done a lot of breeding in my life. Not hard jut use good genetics. You can make bad plants and I have but you can also end up with improved genetics. Jut have to do it and see how the offspring turn out. There is a lot of pride in growing your own strain even if you could be growing something better. Don't breed plants you don't want to smoke or that have problems during the grow like herm or that are touchy and hard to grow. Try to grow a lot of plants at once so you have a lot of parents to chose from. My limit is 16 in my state. I don't have the room for that many but will do around 10-12 and keep 2 or 3 plants out of the bunch for my parents. If you don't like the parents abort mission, kill the male and just grow the mother for smoke. I can not stress enough though only cross the plants you want to smoke the most and that grow the best for you.
