Some internet savvy devices connect on 2.4 but will only do so if the 5 GHz network is shut off. I don't recall if the Inkbird requires that but, if you're comfortable dealing with your router, it might be worth a try.
If all else fails, try contacting Inkbird tech support. They should be able to resolve the issue.
