New Grower JohnnyTsu’s First Time Grow!

Hey AFN Family!

Decided to start a grow journal for my first real grow ever. Back in 2013 I tried to grow an auto as a pet project and never got to finish as I had to go back to school. Trust me when I say that attempt was filled with mistake after mistake, but I’m a little older and wiser now, so let’s hope for better results! Anyway, let’s get down to the specs:

Tent: Vivarspectra 3x3x6

Strains: LSD-25 by FastBuds, Auto Northern Lights by Pyramid Seeds, Incredible Bulk Auto by Dr. Krippling.

Grow Medium: Biobizz Light Mix and perlite. (about an 80/20 mix)

Containers: 5 gal fabric pots

Lights: Roleadro 600w Reflector Series LED x2, Cheap Amazon 1200w LED x1 (Roleadro LEDs draw 165W each at the wall, Amazon light draws 265W so I’m working with about 595 true watts, don’t quote me on that though lol)

Nutrients: I’m running @TaNg ‘s Easy Auto Feeding Schedule, with the addition of Cal Mag Xtra and Big Bud.

Ventilation: one 6” clip on fan, one 12” oscillating fan, one space heater that’s pushing cool air in thru one of the holes in the tent. Going for a passive system.

hi and welcome did i see anotherthread about a spot on a leaf ? if so id put it down to a random...its the cotyldon leaf (wee roundies) and it will be shiveled up in a month anyways
first grow......its like riding a bike...did you not fall off first time ?
biobizz light n 20% ish passive ? like no extraction/carbon filter ? hmm if you legal and have no neighbours,if no get extraction sorted before you need it

yeah I was gonna try a DIY carbon filter when the smell got really bad, it’s a basement grow and I’m not too worried about neighbors since I live in a neighborhood full of recreational smokers. It does seem to be a random occurrence tho, it’s really enjoying the lights right now!

Greetings from the East Coast!

Finally got a chance to grab some pics of the girls. LSD broke soil about 33 hours ago and Incredible Bulk and Northern Lights about 19 hours ago, so we’ll call it Day 2 and Day 1 respectively.

First, the setup:

Got a small humidifier in the middle of the pots to keep it at around 47-48% RH in the tent. 3rd light panel arrived today at my girlfriend’s house, will be set up by tonight. Temperature moves between 80-83 degrees.

Now the girls:

IB looks a little droopy but I think I’m just being paranoid, I’ll see how she looks in a few days. LSD looks really good! Northern Lights is doing really well also. I think I’ll start feeding Cal Mag Xtra with VERY light Sensi Bloom addition at about day 5. Updates in a few days.

Merry Christmas Eve to all!

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season! I’m back with some updates! First, I was recently made aware of the wonderful place that is HTG Supply, I live not too far away from a store and the selection there was amazing. Grabbed a bottle of Rhizotonic, a lot of AFN Family swears by the stuff and I’m always down to try new things, hopefully I get the same results that everyone else has lol. Also, I saw that they do “Free Tea Tuesdays” where they give you a gallon of stump tea if you bring your own container. Gonna probably grab some of that today as well and try it out.

Anyway, onto the girls, who I’ve named Lisa (LSD-25), Nori (Northern Lights), and Izzy(Incredible Bulk). After some close observation and a spliff, I realized that Nori broke soil a few hours after Lisa did, and were actually born on the same day, Izzy came a day later, glad I caught that lol. Started feeding them lightly around Day 3 with 4ml/gal Cal-Mag, 2ml/gal Sensi Bloom A+B, added 5ml/gal Rhizotonic around Day 5, all mixed in RO water. They all seem to really like it! Here they are:

Lisa‘s growing fast, seems bigger every second! Idk if I should be expecting a large plant but I feel like she might be kinda big! Nori is not far behind her, her first true leaves had me panicking a little bit because they seemed discolored, but after doing some research and looking at ALOT of other journals, I saw that a lot of ppl had the same issue with their NL autos and it’s most likely just a genetic thing that she’ll grow out of, doesn’t seem to be affecting her at all, seems like she’s racing Lisa tbh lol. Izzy is doing really well too.

They all got about a 300 mL feeding earlier this AM. But I’ve fed them daily, starting with 30 mL on Day 1 and increasing the amount till now. Probably won’t water again till Thursday when I start my next round of nutes. I also don’t water till runoff and did not presoak my soil prior to planting, so I’ll probably do a liter in each pot just to make sure there’s no dry spots. I’ve had the lights at about 18” since birth but I moved them up to about 24”, trying to encourage a little stretching. I plan on topping all 3 of them next week, and I’ll probably start some light LST after I see how they’re recovering from that.

Hi Johnny all looks good to me
I bought a pack of NL autos from pyramid myself i have seen a few journals on here where they seem to take longer to finish then standard autos but i dont mind that as its NL its the shit lol so will be following along cant pop mine for 8 weeks yet
