So here's my problem I'm growing in a AC Infinity 2x4 tent kit in my shop. There is no ac so it's very got around 87-90 degrees. I was thinking that a lot of people are running their lights 24. I have mine set 18/6 on at 5am of 11pm and was going to change them to run at night on at 7pm to 1pm when it cooler and off during the hottest part of the day. But leave the bottom vents open so they will get plenty of air but they will also be getting some light also during that time. Will I have a problem with this?
Thanks

It will be fine, and I believe this is a good simple strategy to address your heat problem. Auto plants do not require a dark period in the same way as photo period plants. As long as it is mostly dark and the plants have a break from photosynthesis there should be no issue. A full moon is pretty bright and I doubt you would have even that much of a light leak, but if you did it would still be fine.

good luck!

No where does it ever say that autos 'require' anything, only that they CAN handle it....You can run any schedule you wish to avoid high temp hours. I've run autos on 12/12 here in the south for years, adjusting for use of night temps.....Oh yeah, allows me to run photos alongside too. WIN WIN !
