You can do 24/0 the whole grow. They do not need to "sleep".
I'd suggest using whatever light schedule helps to manage your environment. I've switched back and forth seasonally for a couple years between 20/4 (summer afternoon cool-off time) and 24/0 (keeping the tent warm in winter). When growing in 24/0 I keep my lights a little further away to compensate for the four extra hours of light per day. I suspect people see light stress when growing in 24/0 and decide it means the plants need "sleep", but if they were growing in 18/6 and had their lights too close they would run into similar issues.
