Lights off before Harvest?

Hello AFNers!
I’m planning to do my first harvest in about 4 days. My question is should I switch the lights out for the last 72hrs? I’ve been reading about “shock ripening” and was wondering if it really helps at all?

If it does, do I continue to water throughout the 72hr dark time, or just leave them to dry out during this period?

Lots of strange and wonderful things people have come up with to do with pre harvest rituals, ice water baths, drill a hole through the stem etc etc having tried a few, I now personally go and throw rocks at the moon has about the same effect as any I tried

Pretty much what hairy says.
I plain water a few days then let it dry out a couple of days before chop.

Thanks guys, the ladies have been on plain water for over a week now. So will stop watering on Friday and chop Sunday. Wish me luck with my first harvest

I come from the camp of no flushing at end of grow and no dark at end of grow. I've not seen or tasted enough of a difference to compel me to those two.

hmm, well, i did the dark thing way back when on me first grow, which was jus a single plant, but tbh, don't think i'm gonna worry bout doin it this time i would however suggest lettin it dry completely before choppin tho ppp
