I think an autocob from The Cob Shop and @BigSm0 is perfect for what you want to do. If you are going to be moving the plant around use a tomato cage to help keep it upright when moving.

You will need a fan and carbon filter to attempt to hide the plant from the maid. I don't think you will win this battle. All of the maids I have had in my life were very snoopy and knew most every thing about me .
