Hi, I have a few questions about phonic traps and fan and filter set up I was hoping to get some help with. I have a 6 inch extraction fan and am looking to get some phonic trap ducting, should I oversize and get 8 inch ducting to minimise noise?
Also what it the best way to attach a fan and filter to minimise the airflow noise? I've seen some people use a fast clamp to connect the fan and filter and others use some ducting in between. I want to minimise the whooshing noise from the fan. I have a EC controlled fan which I turned on today but the air flow noise was loud on the lowest setting. I'm assuming that attaching a filter and ducting will hopefully eliminate the noise. Any and all guidance is welcome.
