Non auto bloom season

Hello Growers, I'm a newbie to the growing I've cannabis. I have my first and second Autoflower crop that I just finishing up. For those of you that have grown non autos...meaning phitoperiod plants....are they flowering yet if grown outdoors? Here in Ontario Canada we're nearing the end of the summerand my non auto cannabis plants haven't started flowering yet ...is this typical in your experience? Thank you

Hi there.. as you may know non auto or photosensitive plants need at least 12 hours of darkness to begin their flowering cycle...
Which is easy in a controlled environment, this happens in nature at the equinox when day and night are of equal length... we lose about 2 minutes of daylight per day from the summer solstice which this year wsd around june 22ish!..The autumnal equinox this year happens to be around 21-22 September!.. so I wouldn't expect any serious buds to be resdy until early November!.. this is my experience in the UK!.. no matter how early they are planted... they will grow and grow if conditions are right until they start to flower around September time!.. so you could be on for some monster sized plants if you get a dry Autumn which again is rare here... hope you're a bit luckier over there... good luck tho!.. easy now...

Hey, photoperiod strains rely on the amount of daylight per day, usually 12 hours of light per day, but some strains can flower under 14 hours. You can easily check this by googling. This is the advantage of autoflowers, you can plan ahead and plant them early enough so that they dont need to flower while its colds outside (depends on the region)
