So I have a Frosted Watermelon that sprouted May 9th. I just transplanted it into a 3 gallon pot that is 90 percent Ocean Forest with an additional 10 percent perlite. How long will the nutrients last before I need to start fertilizing? It will be awhile before the roots fill that pot. Plant is growing outside.

@Pedman :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:. That is a judgement call on your part. There is no set schedule. You need to watch the plant and start feeding when she starts to look a little bit pale.

:goodluck:

@Pedman why not start a journal on here and post your progress with pics and what you are doing? MOG is a master grower and many others like him can help you along the way!
They helped me and still do on every grow I have done since I found this place.
Cheers,
