Grow Room Pushing air into filter

Hi all

My tent is getting really over crowded and heightnis going to be an issue as I'm only in 160cm and inside the tent I have filter which is about 10" deep attached to ducting and the ducting runs out the vent onto my fan and it blows direct into my room. Just now humidity is crazy but I'm no worried about that as I've lots of air movement inside the tent.

My question is... Will it be a good idea to remove the filter out the tent completely, and connect it to the end of my fan that blows air into the room (out take) and suck the air out the tent by just having enough duct in the vent hole and connect to the intake of my fan?

Does anyone see any problems arising?

This would give me at least another 20" to move my light right up to the top of the tent whereas just now it's sitting 4" above the top buds and my coco plant is on par and hasn't even start flowering (cry lol)

I keep my fan and filter outside the tent with the ducting running out the hole in the top. Works great

Same here as JP1, I have my unit on top of the tent.

Yes, just move everything out of the tent. Suck air from the tent, through your filter and ideally vent that to the outside. Or if you prefer to suck vs. push air through the filter, just put the filter between your tent vent and the exhaust fan.

Thats brilliant thanks everyone. I did read not to do it but the overall concensus is its absoloutely fine and will free up my space

I had my fan and filter outside my tent for many years. I just kept a window cracked for some fresh air. If the air was getting a little stale smelling, I just run my air purifier for a bit.

I also have a 6" fan on low speed in the inlet to the tent.

This helps more with high humidity than heat, and isn't often needed.

I got lucky. The storage rack next to my tent was the exact height of the exhaust port.
