Soil mixing.

Hi guys I'm just looking for some advice on my soil mix. I'm going to be using ocean forest and happy frog mixed with perlite in 3 gal fabric pots.

I'm going to do a layer of perlite in the bottom on the pots and then a mixture. I've seen some people saying they use 1-1-1 ratio mixture and I've seen a good amount of people saying they use 2-2-1 ratio of soil to perlite.

Just curious what growers on here perfer when it comes to soil and perlite mixtures and how much of a difference my soil mix can make.

I thought it was about 70 percent soil to 30 percent perlite. I dont mix my own but from what I have read I think it's a 70/30 mix roughly

Mixing mediums is a recipe for disaster. Most soilless mediums such as ffof and bio bizz have enough perlite mixed in already. Why use a medium that you feel has to be changed?
