my plants are at day 28. Mega fan leafs and looking healthy. Will defol help the lower branches develop? Is it too soon to start clipping?

I wouldn’t take any leaves off at this stage but if you simply bend the main top over with a bent coat hanger stake and keep it horizontal for a week your lowers will come up within a few days and you will have a much flatter canopy.

I'd personally wait for the next node to do any lst. Leaf tuck and a ponytail maybe.

Are there holes in the bottom of your bucket?
