When is...Day 1?

Is there a general consensus on when Day 1 begins?

In searching it seems like some start day 1 or day 0 at soaking of seeds, some are at germination and others are when they pop up out of the soil or medium. I know it doesn't really matter when you actually call Day 1, as the bud will be ready when it is ready, but was wondering what do you consider Day 1?

For me, day one is the 1st sign of life, I plant my seeds straight into soil, so when I see a seedling emerge, that is Day 1.

I try to plant my seeds on Fridays, so that they will come up on Sunday, and then Sun starts week 1.
Then one horizontal row in my monthly calendar book corresponds to one week of growth.

Day 1 for me is when it pops up out of the rapid rooter.

Day 0 for me is from the moment I pre soak them to wake 'em up before going into paper towels.

for me day 1 is the day after it pops its head out of the soil,as that is day 0.
