Mainlining and Manifolding Auto's
When growing indoors plant training may just be the most important aspect of increasing yield and quality of your buds. There are many diffrent techniques including LST, topping/fiming,super cropping, lollypoping ECT. This thread is for mainlining/manifolding. I'd suggest getting comfortable with LST and topping before attempting this. ***Step 1. Wait till your plants are at the 3-5 nodes I like to wait until I get 2 full sets of leafs. Even though you have 5 nodes cut her down at the 3rd so she's thicker and stronger. ***Step 2. Take the two nodes and tie them down to make the T shape to make your sturdy base for the frame to come. [Tip: When mainlining symmetry is everything. Try and keep both sides equal and even as much as...
Cool LST trick.
Hey guys and gals. I recently picked up this item from my local hydro store for LST. I tied my girl down and went along my business as usual. Then today I had an idea! The stuff I got was essentially a roll of bread tie. What I did was pull my plant down a little and twisted a loop into the tie. Now if I grab the loop and twist it works as a pulley system and pulls the branch down slowly. Check the photos to see what I mean.
Can auto flowers be grown in cocoa using multiple times per day fertigation?? I have every Single time overfed or something because I have not successfully grown an auto flower yet using for alligation in cocoa. Can it be done? If so how? I have General hydroponics trio along with every option on their line. I have Coco I have pumps I have air pumps I have the drip system, I have everything and cannot get it done.
I read this in a thread posted by CJ Soma... He reallu hits some great points and it made me realize that we didnt have a "What NOT to do manual". These things are so often overlooked when there isnt a sfety reason to pay special attention to them. CJ! Wow I was completely lost lol after a lot more reading and the shame of my fully flowered 2 inch plant, I havent destroyed anymore of Stiches work haha. The plants I thought I ruined turned out ok thanks to everyones help ill put up a few pics. This will be my 1st successful grow and I only used molasses after I saw the 1st plant stay the size of a 50cent piece. I recognize my errors now and learned alot this grow im 100% sure i could have gotten bigger yeilds but...
Guide: Maximizing your Personal Online Security Even in areas where the growing of Cannabis is legal, online security is paramount for people posting in public forums. Cannabis itself is still valuable to undesirable elements in society. Grow room stuff can be EXPENSIVE. LOTS of companies are trying to collect as much data on peoples browsing history in order to throw adverts in your direction. This data collected is vulnerable to outside third parties (Equifax anyone?). There are several things you can do in order to minimize your digital footprint when Surfing/Posting. today I was giving my plants their first proper watering on Day 7 and I noticed condensation at the bottom of the tent about 1 foot up from the floor. I have my plant raised up off the floor about 2.5 foot, would I be best putting them back down on the floor again and is the condensation normal, I have no outtake running at the minute, would this be why?
First grow. AK47 auto
First off I just wanna say hey y’all! Joined this forum today. Been reading here for a little bit. Enjoying the content and answers by some of the elders here. Soaking up everything I can. Total noob! Got my AK47 from weedseedsexpress. Out of Amsterdam. Did my research for a few months prior to dropping a seed. Ordered them the the beginning of June and didn’t receive them till July 20th. Dropped em that day. The whole Covid-19 thing with shipping. Missed some good sun for my grow!!! Anyways I just Planted in fox farm ocean forest And also grabbed the FF trio. I am currently running on day 58. They are 60 to 70 days. I topped all of em so I assume that would slow them down. So I figured that would slow them down a few days. Had some...
Plant Manipulation: Supercropping
Plant Manipulation - Supercropping What is the point of Supercropping? Supercropping allows you to accomplish 2 things. One, first and foremost, is a potential increase in bud size through an increase of nutrient travel in areas of the plant adjacent to the healed wound, and the second benefit, if managed right, is an increase in overall production by opening up more of the underneath bud growth to available light. I have witnessed this quite a bit on lower shaded out branches on outdoor plants. Nodes close to healed supercropped wounds tend to have larger buds than those not cropped, and redirecting the direction opens up more of the under formed buds to create a better overall harvest. The second thing Supercropping does, is it...
Well, I currently have two plants growing. They're in a 4x2 tent with a Budget LED (Series 2+). The first is an ILGM Auto Northern Lights. It's short, compact, and nothing but bud. It's sitting at 64 days and the trichomes are still clear, so probably a few weeks to go. The second, and the reason for this post, is a Seed Stockers Auto White Widow. It's sitting at 59 days and is flowering, but just beginning to fatten up the buds. This plant is enormous compared to the Northern Lights. Big, bushy, and despite my best efforts, continually trying to touch the lights. I've had to supercrop quite a few colas in order to keep her at 10-12" away from the light. Anyways, today when I was doing my morning check of the plants, I noticed a few...
I used to grow hydro dwc and easily knew how to adjust ph in my hydro water. Now I'm growing in soil. My soils ph is about 8 right now. How do I get it back down between 6 and 7? Feed with water ph'd at 6 or give a flush with 6 ph water? Or do I use sulfur or aluminum sulfate? I read that it can take a while to fix ph in soil. New to soil growing so I need some guidance please. Thanks
Harvesting, Drying and Curing: A Guide to Finishing Quality Bud
Harvesting, Drying and Curing: A Guide to Finishing Quality Bud Harvesting: One trichome at a time The time to chop is getting near....but when exactly is that? Trichome gland colour should be the final observation when the perfect time to harvest is, but pistil colour is also a good way to see the final stage of a plant's life coming to a glorious end. Pistils and early detection of maturity : Some guys think that going by pistil(aka stigma aka "hairs") colour is a mistake, but I use pistil colour long before I need to grab a tool to be able to view trichome colour up close. I don't even bother looking at the trichomes, until I see 90% coloured pistils. What I think is the perfect harvest point, is when I see the upper colas have...
I have been growing a fastberry from fastbuds from orgeoneliteseeds, I am growing it in Coco coir and I'm feeding it with the complete set of roots organic liquid nutrients and I'm on week 5, or bloom one. My problem is that my autoflower entered into preflowering in it's third week from sprouting, it's week 5 now and it still has not started bud production. I have been feeding it now at least 800 to 1000 ppms with 5.8 to 6.1 pH of the nutrients with more of the Buddha bloom in it. If you have grown autos, what's the longest you have had yours in preflower before it started to enter blooming?
Whether you are breeding autos or photoperiod strains your going to have to have males, and to help you use less trail and error in selecting your males ( pollen throwing) Here is a little tip that helps a bunch. forst you need to decide what you want out of the breeding , if it’s flavor first like me you want the stinky male , the one where you rub the stem and he stinks like skunk or what we terp profile your chasing . Learn to associate smells with taste sheik you sample cannabis It helps tremendously in breeding. If you want yield or a strong plant, select a stinky short male. The biggest mistake breeders make is just breeding with the stockiest male. A plant has a finite amount of energy and when it’s all going to yield it may...
Trying out different methods of training
Hello All, Bit of a new grower here and have finally managed to get some decent results after 4 times of trying and wanted to keep on getting better! Thught I would out to test some of the training techniques during my next grows I've read about on this website (thanks all for the info!) to try and see what works best for me. Supercropped. CDLC - Day 35 I might have taken it a little further than advised in the post however the plant seems be doing very well. The walls pictured is the really bad side and is healing everyday, I'm going to leave it for now and see how she gets along. I've also pulled the branches out with tent pegs, will try and get pics of this with the next update Topped CDLC - Day 35 So I pretty much...
My hope for this thread is for people to post problems they have had in past and how they could of been avoided. That way growers of old and new can learn from each other's mistakes all in one place. Maybe a new grower in future will be able to read this and not make a lot of new person mistakes. Anyways I hope this will add value for others. I'll go first. I'm still very new and one mistake I made so far was being impatient. The other week I had planted a seed into soil and gave it a few days to sprout. I hadn't seen anything yet so I started digging down to find the seed. I saw that it had germinated but didn't reach surface yet. I left it as it was and I'm pretty sure I stressed it out messing with it and coupled with the fact it...
Recently I've been looking for decent alternatives to using either organic matter like wormcastings and/or bottled solutions and I've been trying to stay as close to safe practice as possible. Anyways I'm sure many people know that there's many microbes in your soil which do many things, but I've recently read up on, bought, and started using a specific few that fixate nitrogen from the atmosphere and act symbiotically with your plant. Not only can they keep your plant nitrogen rich and not overfed, but they also induce more flavonoids to be produced. There's also the method alike in no till of using Crimson clovers, but because microbes are so small and versatile you can even use these guys right in your main res...

first time wish me luck
hello iam currently doing my first little grow with 3 autos in a 50x90x5.5 ft tall space, in 3 gallon fabric pots, using bio bizz lightmix, under a kingbrite qb288 lm301b 240w full spectrum led, will be using mega crop nutrients at around 2-3 weeks, the temp sits around 22-25 degrees during the day at 75 humidity and about 18-22 at night with 50-60 humidity, iam also using still water brought from shop has a base ph of 7,3 and ppm of 90 i have lowerd the ph to about 6.2 and waterd 2 times with maybe a litre of water just wet the soil and have sprayed with water ever so often to raise humidity they are currently only 3 days old 1 of them with rapid growth (did have little longer in germination) and had a bigger tail then the others once...
Has anyone tried using the full dirty dozen kit from fox farm for an Autoflower? If so could you please give me the schedule? I am fairly new to growing in general, I am new entirely to the fox farm nutrient line. My last grow, that was my very first grow was just bag seeds but I used some wal mart nutrients and they did ok up until flower then they went to crap on me. I am growing in soil, using a 600w LED. My grow tent is a 36"×20"×62". Also I dont know how many plants I should put in that size space. Any tips/ pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Who's FFOF Container Soil Blend (The last soil recipe you'll need)
The PNW Soil Mix: (it rains here alot) Water Only, no bottles required! Coco Depot Coco - 20% of total pot volume. (recommend them due to the larger sized coir they use) Fox Farm Ocean Forest - 80% of total pot volume. (Anything similar is fine, FFOF is just the most common and i know it well) Down to Earth Root Zone - 1/10th tsp per gallon of media (recommend them due to it having alot of unique species) Epson Salt - 1 tbsp per Gallon of media (recommend top dressing - 1 tsp per Gallon of media every 2-3rd watering. If its mag hungry, likely is) Microbe Life Hydroponics Dechlorinator (This is a must for living soil, you have to use this so you dont wreck havoc on the microbes) Additional Mid season top dress: One Shot - 2 TBS...
Outgrowing space and not flowering
Hi everyone, So I am growing a Mexican Airlines from FB in coco with a quantum board and ph perfect AN nutes, and this is the first time I tried topping an auto. She responded.... Too well, she now has an even canopy with dozens of bud sites and I was very excited about it but now its day 31 and she has outgrown her space and still no signs of flowering. I am doing everything in the book, light defoliation, lst, leaf tucking and now also supercropping but still she isnt slowing down! My question is how do I "force her" to flower? Of I start feeding flowering nutes like big bud will it help her transition? Here are the photos As you can see, there is further horizontal space so I hope she starts flowering soon and that she wont grow...
Low Stress Training bud development
A quick question to anyone who can help also @autobeast I know this is your field of expertise what's your thoughts So I have started to use LST in my grows I get that the goal is to get a even canopy but what a bout bud development during flower how do u get chunky colas on every branch do I have to expose the buds to direct light or the fan leaves attached to the grow site I have a auto cookies from dinafem seeds on day 42 and she's stacking nice I untied all branches around day 30 now the stretch has stopped should I tie the branches back down and spread them out for or just leave them be
Prune Your Plant - When is it opportune to prune cannabis plants?
Knowing how to prune cannabis plants can be tricky. Proper pruning techniques are vital to the health of your growing cannabis plants. Use this guide below for properly pruning cannabis plants through their growth cycle. Throughout the growth cycle, leaves that are dying can always be trimmed off. Pruning dying leaves on the plant helps divert energy to other parts of the plant that would’ve otherwise been wasted trying to save the leaf. At the end of the vegetative state, trim out any lower branches that are receiving little light. Otherwise, these will produce small, larfy immature buds. The next step for pruning cannabis plants is to focus on all of the main stalks and branches that remain. Trim out the lower bud sites that...
Hi everyone, I am starting this thread so I can gather info on how you LST without stressing autos. I have had a lot of success with LSTing autos, but lately I have stunted at least 3 autos that were growing vigorously and suddenly remained the same size forever after I LSTed. The way I do it is I wait until there are 4 nodes and then add a hook to the main stem and bend the top until 90 degrees. I am using fabric pots so I do not know whether that makes it more stressful. How do you guys do it? I wonder how sometimes I get great results and others it completely kills the growth. I was guessing it was strain related but since it happened on strains that others have LSTed with success in the past, I think it probably something else...
Hey so sorry may be newb questions I read all over internet what room temp should be and humidity and even my lux amount. But not specifics, do I measure temps of room or directly under light or both and humidity and heat seem to change under direct light as to off hung on wall as I keep seeing. Thanks for any info on this Sent from my Z978 using Tapatalk
Ok guys i have been dragging my knuckles on this for too long. This thread will be dedicated to my actual grow technique. I will have everything in here from the way i germ seeds to the way i harvest and everything in between. ill cover my soil mixes, teas, water adjustments, feeding schedules as well as the recipes for the soil and teas that i use. My goal is to teach how to grow the bud lumps you see in the small pots i use. I feel if you use this you may have the same success that i do when it comes to autos in small places. Bare with me as i will update this on the regular, but will be locking it to get it all organized.
Hey growers from around the earth. I've got a new growers problem.I went to the local hydro shop to grab some o' that advance nutes, you know the ph perfect kind. The dude at the counter said they were out but that emerald harvest part AnB was ph perfect just like advance!!! My question to all,is it ph perfect.I really don't wanna mess around with a ph pen.i couldn't find any info that said it was ph perfect..
Howdy folks. This thread will be dedicated to any of your electrical needs. Whether it be a question about your growing setup, or if you just need help around the house. I have many years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, and industrial fields. Just ask your question as detailed as possible, throw in some pics if needed. The more info I can get, the better I can understand what you need. It is also a good idea to let me know if you are from over seas, for I am not lol.
One of the most common questions i see new growers posting.... What size of extraction fan and carbon filter do i need for my tent? Extraction fans are rated in m3/hour Heres the simple answer for some of the most common tent sizes. 0.6m x 1.2m x 2m = 115m3/hour 1m x 1m x 2m =160m3/hour 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m = 230m3/hour 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m = 360m3/hour 1.2m x 2.4m x 2m = 460m3/hour 2m x 2m x 2m = 640m3/hour 2.4m x 2.4m x 2m = 920m3/hour So find a fan that meets the airflow needed for your area if it takes a 125mm/5inch fan then you need the same size of carbon filter and ducting. If you want to learn how to work this out for yourself in any size of tent or grow room keep reading. Firstly work out the volume of your grow space (length x...
I couldn't find a good place to post this so here it is. I'm trying to buy more seeds. The seed bank I use to use no longer takes credit cards so I have to find a new Seed Bank. I don't & wont do Bitcoin again because I lost my ass doing that. I don't & wont send cash in the mail because if it gets lost I'm shit out of luck. So I have to find a Seed Bank that accepts Credit Cards. The other thing is .... I'm looking for that seed bank that sells individual seeds as I like to buy several different strains (2-Seeds each). I usually order about 30 or more seeds at a time so I'm good for a few months before I have to order again. So if you know of a Seed Bank that sells individual seeds & takes credit cards please fill me in so I can...
Its haverst time ?

Hello all! On my first grow of CBD strains to make oil/tincture for anxiety/pain. My question is around harvesting - do I need to completely dry and cure like normal, before I start the extraction process, either by infusion or ethanol extraction (I haven't decided yet) or can I start the process with freshly harvested still wet buds? And should I also include the leaf in this process, or flowers only? Thanks! Sent from Space
Monster Training Guide : Maximizing outdoor photoperiod plants
The Monster Training Guide This guide is meant to be a semi-advanced guide to growing and training gigantic photosensitive plants. I have tried to make it a simple guide to understand, but the guide also assumes you know how to grow healthy plants. If you're hazy on starting seedlings, or general growing do yourself a favour and buy a copy of the incredible online book "Growing Elite Marijuana". Though it is much more complicated than the guide I wrote, it is packed full of excellent information every grower should have access to!! Here is a Dutch Passion Blueberry using all the techniques listed below(including accidental supercropping). She is around 4 weeks from harvest in this pic and she is 6 feet high on most branches and over...
A low trauma way to transplant using larger size cups....
:jointman: A few folks have asked about this method, so here it is! It's applicable to most any size cup, styro' or plastic,... personally I like to use 24-32oz styro' because of the good volume size (can stay in a bit longer), good drop depth, and easier to work with... styro' is excellent at insulation too, a plus for outdoor growers who have their seedlings in filtered Sun, preventing potential overheating. A plus to doing a transplant is that you can have some time to assess the seedlings quality before going into final pots... so if you get a mutie, or misfire, etc., it's less hassle to deal with and less wasted resources, space, etc.,.... I moved this seedling early to do this (about 12 days old or so, suffered a little...
High Again Everyone !!!, Well not sure why these seeds aren't popping after 8 days. On 3-3 I started 6 seeds with the wet paper towel & baggie method. 3 seeds popped in 3-4 days like they should. The other 3 (2-Dutch Passion & 1-Heavyweight) aren't showing any signs they're going to pop. The Heavyweight I kind of expected not to do anything as I had 6 Heavyweight seeds & so far none have popped. I'll never buy Heavyweight again. The Dutch Passion I don't understand not popping as I've already grown them from the same batch of seeds. Considering it's been 8 days already I'm thinking they are just bad seeds. Am I correct & should I give up on those 3 or is there something else I should try ? I already started 3 more...
In flower, how long before it is finally ready?
I don't really know how far along these girls are into flower, but I noticed they are finally blooming. My question to y'all is when should I stop my feedings and just go with regular ph'd water? This is from today, week 6 day 2. Been through the flowering stretch at week 4 when the pistills began to show. I don't know when to stop feeding the nutrients. They are in peat soil and I'm using fox farms nutrients. Thanks for any input.
Help, plant out growing tent
Hey all, I have a fairly short tent at about 54” tall, and up until now it hasn’t been an issue. Between LST and me being a sub-par grower, my plants have stayed pretty short. I’ve been working on my growing technique and this round of plants is doing very good. One in particular, a White Widow, has decided that it wants to go buck wild! Here’s a pic from a few days ago, it grew another inch or two since: The pot is about 7”, but the plant is 35” tall. The light I have is a Roleadro COB from amazon and I have it as high as I can, and the bottom is 46” from the ground. So at this point the highest colas are between 4-6” from the lights Any ideas of how to deal with this? The leaves are curling up a bit and folding but it...
Hi AFN Recently I decided to give Autoflowers a try. I've got 3 FastBuds GSC going for about 3 weeks now. Two are doing great...one got tall and lanky. Anyway...I'm running in my veg tent right now at 20/4 but I'm needing space in my veg tent. I have room in my flower tent and was thinking of moving them over but they'd need to be at 12/12 with the photos I have in there. My questions are: Can autos flower under 12/12 but it will just take longer to finish? Will I lose a lot of yield by doing it? Thanks
So wanted to document some issues I've had with gnats! First off I didn't think I had to many. May of saw 2 or 3 within past month. Decided to switch layout of plants, under each pot was a colony with a full government and plans on concrete to take over my grows. Immediately I took my shoe and squished all that i could. Went to store and bought full organic neem oil spray, I sprayed everything from dirt to walls. 3 days of that and two spray bottles of neem, no more gnats. Next I will upload pics of damage from gnats.
First grow-so far
Hello and welcome to the most EFF’d up first grow so far ....... Spend months reading the site and getting everything together, I was ready to go and ended with 4xAK47 autoflower seeds. 2 didn’t germ 1 Died within 1st week, 1 Crazy fucker is a bit of a dark horse the sneaky little bugger is around 7 weeks and has got 9 lives!! First came the fungus gnats ! Then it was, Transplanted Covered/mixed soil with gnat nix Replanted in different soil and pot Underwatered Overwatered Transplanted different soil/pot Shocked LST’d Trimmed Deformed/mutated leaves Nute burn Light stress Its about 7 weeks old and looks like a12-14 week cycle. It’s only started to show signs of bud sites appearing within the last week. Full write up to follow but...
Hello all. For some reason the last 6 months I have struggled with maximizing the first 2 weeks of life, and have ended up throwing away so many young girls. I guess it's to do with my watering. I start them under a couple of 3500k Autocobs about 35 inches above the pots. I have started using Solo Cups to help but I still can't get it. I have no issues germinating, I use a shot glass of water when planting the seed and that carries them through. It's after this I struggle. I have no idea why I am. When after this should I next be watering? I spray the soil every day, between 5-20 times, depending on what I think... I am considering @lunarman s dunking method which I saw yesterday, or possibly a method I've seen on YT that uses a...
Looking for a good guide for LST that is better than most that I've found. Most just say tie branches down but not much more than that. And there is a pictorial guide that would be great too. Especially if its done using graphics instead of photos. I have a few grows under my belt and I have done quite bit of amateur LST and also some topping. But I still learning to find my way. Its not easy to learn for me. And I want to be more methodical about it and not just "wing it". If I wing it I can never remember how I got to the end state. What I want to look at is how to tie down the main stem early and then what you do with the rest of the branches after that. I even read an AFN tutorial that mentioned where to locate and...
To cut straight to the point, how long after placing a germinated seed in soil should it sprout? After how many days should I start to worry? Just kind of nervous because I was all set with the chosen seeds for the inaugural grow in my first tent, and my germination rates have been down lately, which of course adds to my worries. In this scenario, I'm talking about seeds germinated in a paper towel and placed into soil with 1/8"-1/4" taproots. Out of 4 seeds planted, 2 have been up for close to 3 days. The other two haven't shown any signs of wanting to make an appearance. Also, in these circumstances. How moist do you keep the soil? I'm kinda of afraid I may have error ed towards been afraid of overwatering, and might have in...
Hi All, This is my 1st Auto-Flower grow as I usually do photo's. I have 8 plants / 7 different strains growing. I started the seeds on 12-19-18. So they are at day 40. Should the bottom leaves be turning yellow already ? They are all budding up but buds are still quite small & have a ways to go. I figure at least another 30 days till anything finishes. Seems to soon for yellowing leaves to me but I'm new to Auto's so wondering if this is normal or if I have a deficiency. Thanks for any input.
What can I expect White Widow XTM Auto First Grow
Hi. I am located on Coastal Calif and in process of growing my first auto flowering girls. Since our weather is decent, my girls are outside on the deck during for most of the day and are taken in and put under LED grow bulb at night. Two have been super cropped and one left on its own. Though I am familiar with the timing of grow/harvest for a regular crop, these autos are new and I wonder if you can guesstimate how much longer they will continue to flower by these photos? They are currently about 36" in height though they have been bent at angles to facilitate light and some of the white pistols are turning darker.... How big do the buds get on average? Should I remove the large fan leaves at this point? They were...
Ultimate VPD Guide and Calculator / Chart Maker
Hey AFN, TL;DR: The right VPD makes your plants grow better. VPD = the correct temp & humidity. Link to VPD guide. We'll send you a vpd chart generator / calculator if you drop us your email. If you don't want to, just send me a PM and I'll give you the download link there. A quick summary of the high points: Why is VPD important? VPD helps you identify the correct range of temperature and humidity to aim for in your grow space. With VPD you can achieve the best results while avoiding pest and environmental problems. VPD also controls plant transpiration rates, stomata opening, CO2 uptake, nutrient uptake, and plant stress. How to calculate air VPD: A. Figure out the SVP SVP = 610.78 x e^(T / (T +238.3) x 17.2694)) T is in...
I'm not completely new to this and have pulled in some good auto harvests, but I have had some questionable results when using LST to the same degree as most others do. I've found I've had the best success when just holding down the top for a couple days and then letting it go back to its original shape, but with enhances side branching. I believe I am doing something wrong when I do the regular LST methods, because instead of ending up with several large main colas, I end up with 1 stunted main cola and a whole bunch of worthless popcorn buds. Basically every one of the bottom nodes that level with the main never quite develop enough to establish large colas and instead they stretch with only the very top producing a small nug. The...

LST with Fabric pots
Hey AFN, I've got a simple little tip for fabric pot growers. I'm always looking for a better way to do things so here we go. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from this so would like to share with more people. I'm sure others have done this, hell can't believe it took me over 2yrs to think of it myself. I like/need to train my plants lst, supercropping, topping whatever you got lol. I also like fabric pot, but how to tie them down? I use to use safety pins, but they only last 1 or 2 grow once you get nutrients on them. Also it ain't fun to get jabbed either. I have heard some use binder clips which is a nice way, but I'm looking for less worry more permanent. So I came to grommets. So simple a caveman can do it, no offense to...
I use to grow autos and now I've changed to photos as I'm looking for exotic strains and I've learnt so much talking with very knowledgeable growers, testing things out and seeing results. I'll start with environment. It is absolute key to keep your environment on point to get the best out of your plants. It's the best nutrient you can give your plants imo. I follow the vpd chart now (vapour pressure deficit) and my humidity doesn't go below 60% during flowering. I keep the humidity at 75-70% whole of veg 70-65% until week 5 of flower then drop its to 65-60 for the rest. I use to ramp mine down to 40% that's the worst thing you can do. If your humidity is as low as that your plants will transpire at a faster rate therefore they will...
Hey AFN family! Im on my second indoor grow. My current setup is 36x20x60 inch no name tent purchased on amazon. A 4x15 can-lite filter with 177CFM fan, and 600 watt viparspectra LED. Currently getting a significant amount of odour escaping the tent with 3 autoflowers on the grow. I, a little confused as to why as the odour is escaping based on my current setup. I'm using ona throughout my apartment and it helps but im hoping to improve upon this. I'm wondering if because of the low quality tent the odour is escaping. But that doesnt really make any sense because there is definitely negative pressure in the tent. Any suggestions????? Thanks in advance!!!!
Choosing Auto Seeds Part 2: The Outdoor Auto Edition Ahh the great outdoors!! Choosing the right strain for your climate and your personal preference is never an easy task! The options are vast and spread across hundreds of companies, and across hundreds of thousands of strains. What strain is perfect for you? Only your body knows for sure what is ideal! Different terpenes (associated with different smells) contain different types of highs, and also different medical effects are associated with varied terpenes. Once you get to grow out a number of different varieties you will get to know which terpenes fire up your receptors, which will aid you in your strain decision. The more you grow, the more you will get to know what strains you...
I'm just wondering if anyone here has had any success growing Heavyweight Seeds Auto-flowers. I'm not having nothing but Bad Luck with their seeds ! My 1st Heavyweight was a Wipeout Express. It took a month to germinate & then Hermied on me. Started germing a 2nd Wipeout Express 2 weeks ago & a Heavyweight 2 Fast 2 Vast at the same time. Neither seed has popped yet. At the same time I started those 2 I also did 2 Dutch Passion Seeds, 2 Seed Stockers Seeds, 1 Fast Buds Seed & 1 Sensible Seed which have all germinated & are about 2" tall. I'm really starting to think Heavyweight Seeds are straight CRAP !!! At least the Auto-Flower Seeds. I have some of their photo period seeds also; but haven't tried them yet. At this point I will...
I have a 4x4 tent. 1000w hps/mh i plan on dimming 25% which i assume would make it 750w. I want to use mephisto/bomb seeds/dutch passion. I want maximum yield. Using Roots Organic rogf/Fox Farm Coco Loco. With Super soil concentrate. My question is for a SOG style grow for maximum yield how many plants could i fit in this space? I ordered (5)5gal air pots. But i assume this size would be too large for a sog style for autos going for maximum yield. So im thinking 3gal? If so how many could i fit in 4x4 space? Strain dependent of course. I want at least 1lb. And second question in order to do sog with autos is there anything different i should do? Thanks.
How to determine plant age / stage ?
Hello, I'm trying to clear something up and my search abilities are not working for it. I imagine this topic will depend on strain, if it's an auto or a photo, and other factors... but I was hoping there was a generalized notion of how I could determine the age of a plant. For example, does this image (taken from a post in another forum) work? I ask this, mainly, because we are trying to follow a chart given by a friend who used to do hydro and recommended it for us as a general guide line for our feeding regime. Also, we are trying to set light distance according to age. The chart is: FEEDING CHART (NOT INCLUDING PPM OF WATER) Seedlings, Early Sprouts [0.2 - 0.5 EC] -> 100 to 250 ppm (Hannah) / 128-320 ppm (Eutech) Early Vegging...
Please help!!
The first plant is what I’m worried about. Lemme know:) Week 1 with devils cream auto under 600 watt veg bulb in a 4x4x6 tent with fans and all that good stuff 3 out of the four are doing well from what I can tell, I’m using fox farm of soil, there trio later on, as well as cal mag and bud candy. Can’t figure out why the one plant looks so different and if I should just chop it
Hey everyone! I'm going to change my setup in one of my little cupboards. Instead of 3-4 15L autopots, I want to replace them with many smaller pots using the easy2go and a tray (so an aquavalve feeding the water to the bottom of the pots) so I can run more strains, albeit with a bit more effort by the way of feeding etc. Will be doing organics, amended soils, top dresses, etc. Will definitely have to utilise a biotab or 2 in each pot to sustain the macros during the grow  Floor space is approx 110 x 55, give or take. The options are really either a 6L plastic square pot, or a 1 gallon root pouch. I'm thinking somewhere between 5-10. The more the merrier! Obviously they are going to be bottom-watered via the...
Hi mates!! I had a post opened on the Autoflower Infirmary for sick plants for a small leaf deficiency on the beggining of the grow but now I'm looking for some advice on LST. This is my first grow and i'm still learning on the job so please excuse me for beeing a noob or too over-concerned :p Instead of repeating the entire thread here, I think it's probably better to put the link to my previous thread. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/is-this-any-kind-of-deficiency.68564/page-3 Any kind of help with be great! :) Thanks guys and happy grows!! :D

ISSUE--TOO MANY SMALL BUDS
Hi folks Second grow first one lost to mold. This time going one in notill organic soil Carmelicious auto from MSNL using QB132 @ 120w and blurple 350w. Using 3g fabric pot with tower fan, clip on fan, 6" fan and carbon filter in 5x5 grow tent. I've been running 18/6 lighting and temps 24c and RH 40%. Started with 4th node top and left it at that with leaf tucking and minimal leaf removal. Problem is currently in week 10 I don't have any big nugs all I've got are penny size flowers! How do folks get those "bic lighter" size nugs?
High there everyone ? I'm not a new grower, but I can't say I'm real experienced either. I've done 3 grows over the past year but they were all photo period grows. I decided to try out some auto's for the 1st time so I could use some advice. I'll give you the run down of my set up. I'm just going to do 2 plants this time to get a grasp on things. I will use my 2' x 4' x 6' tent since it's only 2 plants & I already have photo period plants in my big tent. I was thinking of using my 2' (4 Bulb) & 2 - 2' (2-Bulb) T-5's for germination for the 1st week or two. Then switching the T-5's out to a 600 Watt Meizhi LED after germination. Should I do it this way or should I just start out with the LED's ? I'm growing in a 50% Bio Bizz...
Hello all this is my first time on afn have used grass city but was directed here. I'm currently growing 10 mephisto autos and am doing some experimenting on a few. I am considering topping one of my ghost toofs but have never attempted a top and was looking for anyone with experience or advice. Have had some say it's good and bad so just seeing what advice is out there! Thanks everyone
I'm growing my 1st Auto's in a soil mix under a 600 watt LED. 1 - White Widow & 1 - Wipeout Express. I planted the seeds directly in the soil mix (5-gal. bags) on 12-11. Not seeing anything as of yet so I'm wondering how long till I see them sprout ? I've always planted my photo period plants this way & had sprouts in about 5 days.
So, the room that contains my current tent is climate controlled and while we occasionally get some brief humidity, it’s generally 50-55% RH (occasionally dropping to 45%) in the space and temps are pretty consistently between 70°-78°F in the tents. Now I’m planning to add a second tent in order to have a veg tent and a flower tent. I’m trying to figure out if I should get one big humidifier and run it in the room that will contain both tents or should I get small, individual humidifiers for each tent? I HATE the idea of giving up tent real estate to a humidifier (or anything besides plants) but I will if I have to. I’m tentatively thinking about a large room humidifier in the outer room and set it to the highest safe humidity for...

Hi everyone, I’m looking for basic advice on starting my first grow. I’ll have a million questions for you all to enjoy, take the mick out of and hopefully answer but for now I’ll keep it simple. I’m going to be growing in soil under led’s, I’ve read somewhere that I don’t have to PH my water and that the soil will do it. Is that true ? Next question is, is there a natural/organic way of giving the plants nutrients rather than buying bottled. I’m growing for quality not quantity.
Blueberry Harvest TIme ?
Hi, I have a photo period Blueberry at 7 weeks into flower. Looking at the pistols I think it has a few weeks left a lot of white hairs, but looking at the trichomes it looks like next week. I had a miserable time trying to get a good shot of the trichomes that I think effectively represent what I am seeing through my eye spy. But I did get one. Still a lot of white pistols on the buds so I am a bit confused. Thx guys .
