Yeah, I watered 1L per plant most of the time before turning on the autopots. Don't worry I watered till runoff the entire time because I was thinking about the potential buildup. Thanks for coming in and reassuring me though because someone a few posts back told me that 250mL is the most I should be watering right now which I'm not completely sure on still.

I'm keeping an eye on them every day. If I feel as though they're not bottom feeding and the roots haven't reached then I'll take them out of the trays and continue top feeding until it's time.

That's the advice I'd give you about if the roots don't reach the bottoms but don't worry they will search for it and I'm thinking you will be fine also say in future water to run off and don't feed them every day unless they need it when I'm top feeding I just lift the pots to know when to feed again. Also ask me if you ever need any think bro and good luck

I'm also a little bit curious about this. I've seen a lot of people say to turn it on once the leaves hit the outer edge of the pots, and even then I waited a few days before turning it on. Not disagreeing with you St Tom, just want to learn your reasoning.

i just prefer to leave them a little longer and my main reasoning was to feed them to run off a little longer as you can get lockouts with autopots down the line it happens to me sometimes as he was feeding them very small amounts this is just my opinion mind .i also said i think your will be fine yday

I agree with you Tom. In my experiences with over several grows with autopots, the one time I was rather eager to turn on the reservoir (2 plants were more than ready with leaves over the edge by ~2 inches while the other was not yet quite over the edge), that one plant had an early lockout or showed symptoms of lockout. In fairness, this was just a guess that the roots had not developed enough. It would be great if we could have a pot within a pot with the inner pot being a see-through to determine root development.

Thanks for the information @idiopathic neuropathy and @St. Tom. Information like that is really nice to have. Even though that guy told me to water less, I didn't really take his advice fully. I watered 1L for the most part and 500mL for the final watering before turning on the autopots and this always allowed runoff. I used to always water the plants by placing them into Homedepot 5Gal buckets so they can drain outside of the trays and not sit in the water.

So I did some things to possibly help me not run into lockout issues but I appreciate both of you coming in and dropping some tips that I can use in my future grows.

I'll continue to monitor it and post daily pictures. If any sort of lockout does start to happen, hopefully we can diagnose and find it before it becomes a huge problem.

6.1 pH and I used a drill with a paint mixer attachment to move around the water in the reservoir because I don't have something circulating the water in it.

Looks like it's draining too so either the water is drying out? Or the plant is actually drinking? Hopefully this is a good sign.

the auto pot valve is doing what its meant to do. The valve will allow water to come into tray AFTER all water is gone from tray. Your ladies are really starting to DRINK. So they will devour your rez. This is great. My big fat blueberry would go thru 6 liters a day, by its self. I check each tray every couple of days. Just to sure there is water in tray. If not then I'll remove the valve and turn it upside down. Then "spread" open the valve to see where the water comes into the valve. The kelp collects here for me and I just clean it out.

They are looking good.

thease were my plants at day 21! Yes obviously I probably was giving 400ml at that’s stage! Top of my head!

but please don’t follow my advice. I think it’s best you carry on with what you think is best, as I am no expert in autopots! And apologise (IF) my advice was wrong, but please don’t follow my advice as I don’t want too give any suggestions out anymore. As I don’t want too make you unsure!
