Don't forget to soak the ceramic watering spikes, heat the tube with hot water and straighten it a bit if you need to, cut it and fix it if you mess it up. Fill it up, push it into the soil and put the cap on nicely. If it's water in the spike it will water the soil. Nice and cheap, use as many as you want. The sandy soil will need a few more.

Push it down if you like, this is enough for me. The water level in the reservoir and the beer bottle distributor is the same, the water level indicate the pressure in the spike. Use a taller bottle and reservoir if you want the ceramic spike to water more. For very slow watering the reservoir should be below the soil and a beer bottle can't do that in a tent so for that you must use tubes and connect them properly.
