I experimented with my pair of "600" watt cheapy Vipars ( 285 watts actual each ) by raising them to 30" and leaving them there. Surprizingly, no light dep stretch at all! Just BIG healthy plants. I'm going to continue running these lights high from the beginning for a while and see how it works with other strains. Ohh, and I just had to raise them again....... at about 18" now. Here are the plants:

Have you seen larger/taller plants by raising your light higher than recommended?

Yeah I look at the watts at the wall and wonder if it is over kill .. I was originally thinking of four P150's so I am watching a few grows and deciding
