Is it supposed to sit up off of the bottom? Mine has the little tabs on the side that align with everything and the long tab that aligns under the outer float.

If I want to get the half moon on that cross on mine it's either going to take a dremal or a hammer.

Ignore the lead sinker, I'm training the hose to make the bend. If it doesn't have to sit on the bottom I might be able to force it part way on.

your tray looks so different than mine. Also I have a blue colored valve and it sits on one end of the tray. Yes the idea is for them not to float.
