Yeah this is what they recommend willie had told me about this when I was mentioning how I was getting that problem I was gonna add an air stone then I found out that will make everything crazy and this was the better route to go and I have to agree..

Do the use Samsung leds?

All HLG boards use Samsung led except the QB 324 which used Nichia. Those however will now use the Samsung LM301b also.
