Its really just personal preference, some leave every sugar leaf with trichs some trim every one.. I like to trim it pretty tight but I also use all the trim later for hash.
I see I do it pretty tight most the time I do like having trim for butter or hash
Tastes better when u get most the leaf off. Save for later

My trimming seems to be in stages. First stage....fan leaves, second....any other leaf sticking out of buds....third stage....after a few days dry, trim anything missed previously.
Trics on Sugar leaves are usually not as mature as bud trics so I never savem....at my age, ain't gonna mess with anything but bud.

Yeah I trim every leaf I see except the nearly microscopic ones fo you guys peel back the buds and trim the leaves on the inside
