I was just wondering if you plan on doing CBD/THC tests on samples at various stages of maturity to see if the CBD/THC content improves/degrades.
For example when the bud and leaf trichomes are clear, milky, 50/50 and fully amber.
If I am not mistaken CBD increases as the trichomes turn amber so your initial findings of 14:1 could be exceeded.
I would be really interested to hear the results of that as I'm sure a lot of people would.
Cheers and best of luck.
"CBD is produced later in the bud production cycle"
And:-
"But until the plant reaches the final weeks of flowering, the main content are the THCs, terpines which are responsible for the increasingly powerful smells of whatever strain/hybrid they are, and have practically no CBD content and the terpines are still mainly smell and haven’t converted to terpenoids"
"THC D9 is a potent stimulant and if plants are cropped too early, any cannabis will have little or no CBD and will only provide a very stimulant high".
"The anecdotal evidences for the reactions people have to immature cannabis is all over cannabis community forums, of every country around the globe, especially on the cultivation forums, and that is where legislators need to go and look properly at what many academics involved with cultivation, many very experienced people who understand cannabis and the stages it goes through as a high order plant, so they can stop being guided by those who in comparison, have nothing but a basic and tenuous understanding of cannabis"
"it is during the final weeks that early THC production in the trichomes on the leaves and buds increasingly start to oxidise and CBD and other high/stone stabilising oxidase are created".
Makes me wonder if anyone has any real proof about CDB in Cannabis, or is it just all sales hype.
Looks like that article is just trying to sound smart. THC does not change to CBD. THC and CBD are the two most abundant naturally occurring cannabinoids
THCa changes to THC,
CBC degrades to CBL
THC degrades to CBN
Thanks for that stacey as ever if i cant work it out along comes me girl xxxxx
Cc
Btw Intresting discusión u guys are having as far as i understand it ....it as evol says however skunkybud i will have a good look at that link mate

QUOTE=feroled;616767]I managed to work out how to insert a pdf here - take a snapshot of it and post the pic!
Sorry if my comments might have been taken the wrong way. The article I was referring to does not say that THC is converted into CBD, rather as a plant matures the CBD content increases ( of course upto the maximum that the plant is genetically able to produce ).
Which is the original point I was suggesting.
You are right that THC degrades into CBN and at no time have I disagreed with that.
Hope we are all still friends who can share a joint or bong and learn as much as we can about this wonderful plant MJ.
For some reason I can't view the PDF when logged in.
