Hmmm I'm not so sure as sunshine mix is a very full mix, I use promix it's not as a full mix and I do add perlite and a tad of lime to it but that's pro mix , maybe @Rebel can comment and let you know If he adds perlite or lime to his sunshine mix

30 gallons of water will probably last a month and half. So I would suggest seeing if you can refill them as it's more cost efficient, eventually I plan on buying myself a ro filter for my home it'll make it so much easier but they're kind of costly.

Yes a ro filter but they run costly I dnt know price of the top of my head, perlite and lime are usually very cheap, go to hydro store as it's cheaper there because shipping is a bit high
