Day 78 / 47 / 34

Got back from a little trip to Florida and mostly everything was fine in the tent. The reservoir was working fine but my pH was up to 7.4. Checked the pH in the trays and it was almost 7. The leaves on Kaya really show the pH issue with twisted leaves and upside down. I immediately pH the rez down to 6.2 and vacuumed out the water standing in the trays. Hopefully this will correct it, if not I may have to take them out and flush them.

Ok so Wednesday I opened the tent and found lots of tip burn on mostly the upper leaves. I was worried something was going on when I got home from Florida with my pH way high and all the leaves twisting and turning upside down. So I pulled them out of the tent, took them outside and ran three gallons of rainwater through each of the three ladies in autopots. Bobbie in the fabric pot, with soil, looked fine and I left her in the tent. They sat outside Wednesday all day in the bright sunshine while they were flushed out. I then emptied all the trays and made up all new nutrient solution, pH it down to 5.9 and started them back on the reservoir. This is what they looked like on Wednesday afternoon.

Ok this morning after the girls have had 24 hours to rest after being flushed out, they look a little better. At this point I will be happy if they make the next three weeks of flower.

I just stumbled over. The original Barney's LSD is one of my all time favorite "smokes" so I'm subbed for the remainder.

Even blemished, those are beautiful young ladies you have. They may be tougher than you think!

I was gone for 8 days. I made sure before I left that there was plenty in the reservoir and it was pH down to 5.8 before I walked out the door. As to why the pH jumped, I have no idea why it does what it does. This is my tap water and it has been dechlorinated over several days it starts off as neutral 7.0. The environment is what it is, a basement cool and mostly dry. The pH tends to drift upward everyday, but usually it will settle in somewhere in the high 6s if left for an extended period. This is the first time I had seen it this high. Only thing different is the nutrients but I see this upwards drift no matter what I use.

It was the first time ever I saw the girl’s fan leaves actually pulling together so intensely that they were flipping upside down. They went from fully spread fingers to clinched together, some pointing upwards others flipping upside down in just a week. I have a timelapse camera in there and can’t wait to stitch it together and if lucky be able to see this develop.

I forgot to mention that Bobbie, in her 1 gallon pot of soil, was sitting in an autopot tray, drinking the same as the other girls but was unaffected. I’m chalking this up to the buffering capabilities of soil versus coco.

Thats wild your water/basement and drift in ph sounds exactly what i experience. When i ph at 5.8 5.9ish in ~12 hrs it rises to 6.1 6.2 with MC. With GH it rises to 6.4 ish
Yes i am keeping an eye on bobbi-i didnt realize she was in soil...still watching results of her in smaller fabric pot...thx for updating

She has never been topped either so while short, she has a heck of a cola forming on top and will be some decent smoke.
