I found this cutie on the side of the road and she's brought some light to my life. I think my wife's in there somewhere..always said she'd cone back as a black cat for real.
So here's my hell hound..anybody with a kind word would be great today. My wife's been gone a month now and I'm struggling with it. She passed the day after her 49th birthday unexpectedly..I feel like I want to say to everyone out there..do something nice for your spouse or significant other today because honestly tomorrow your whole world might be turned upside down. I'm sure I'll be stronger in the end but the process sucks. Thanks

I'm sorry for your loss friend. It's not much consolation, but you're not alone in feeling this pain. In the last 8 years I've lost my father to lung cancer, my brother to Wernicke's Encephalopathy, and my best friend since childhood to a rare brain cancer. All far too young. My father was 55, and my brother and my friend in their mid 20s. Only my mother and I remain. I don't know if the words exist to alleviate your pain - let me know if you find them, because I've had no luck... but I assure you things get better. Life becomes tolerable. And moving forward will seem possible once again. And yes, the process does suck.
Perhaps not now, but when you're ready I'd encourage you to seek some therapy, whether it's with a mental health professional or a local religious leader, and be active in coming to terms with what has happened.
I've learned that time does not always heal all wounds, especially if you remain passive. Unaddressed, it can also fester and really bring you down years later like it had for me. I wish you nothing but the best and I hope the journey forward isn't too rough.
Btw I see you got a cat! I got my dog right after my dad passed away, and words can't describe how important she has been during the healing process. I hope your cat can offer you the same comfort that my dog gave me during times of hardship.

There was actually 2 of them when saw them both on the side of the road. 2 black cats I had to pick them up. My sister in law has the other one
