Bored out Cola Buds Should I ....

Well The cola buds on one of my plants was bored out by a caterpillar. Cleaned off all the dry crap Since the picture was taken She is small and,
Looks like crap next to her sister plant both planted at the same time, should I just cut the cola off I'm gong into week 9 The rest of the plant looks fine.

let the plant focus on the lower buds until she ready for harvest ?

I would cut it off. The problem is the damage will be subject to secondary infections - most likely molds and bud rot.
