Pots were bone freaking dry today and got hydrophobic so I gave each pot 2 gallons of ph'd water with fox farm sledgehammer to add some yucca. Took a while for the first 1/2 gallon to sink in, but the pots were about the weight of a 5 gallon that needed water and they are 10s.....

Either way they got their water, thermometer/humidity guage fell into the saucer of a pot amd is waterlogged, dont pay attention to that

Little update after the flop back to the 18/6 schedule, tangerine dream is making its own little single pot jungle. Branches flying out of every single node. All the extra light it was getting was well used, but I had to wrangle that crap back in because its just too dense for my liking. Got some before and after pics. Trying to keep the lollipopping kind of tight on this one, got plenty of bud sites but I really want nice fat tops on this plant so Im working on keeping a well trimmed plant here and Im just gonna defoliate the lemon tree when needed.

Only thing I see now is a bit of yellowing on new growth so the next watering is gonna be a full feeding at 650-700ppm for both. Might go with plain filtered water instead of spring water. Thinking the cal/mag content in the spring water may be starting to build up, spring water has a surprisingly decent content of each but without anything else I think it might be starting to cause a lockout of some kind with the imbalance.

Had a power outage today, was informed that power was shut off from 10am to 3pm. 5 hours of complete darkness in the middle of my on cycle...hopefully this doesnt cause issues....ive never looked at what it can do during veg...pretty sure Im safe.

Things are looking really good in the tent today and its super surprising. Now that the heat is off the tent doesnt get above 67° humidity is getting better though, took down the humidifier, not needed anymore. But some explosive growth on both plants over the last few days.

Thought Id throw up an update after watering the tangerine yesterday, and the lemon tree today. Keep in mind when you see my thermometer and humidity guage, the exhaust vent on my drier came loose and fell out of the wall so my humidity is sky high down there especially for the air temps.

I decided to include this pic of yellowing tips just because its happening but I know the plant was under-fed so Im pretty sure just like the tangerine, it will bounce back within a day because it was doing the same thing.

Trimmed a bit of her again yesterday...shes definitely thriving just keeps growing no matter what conditions are like or how much I chop on her. Excited for flowering.

Like I said this is mostly just for temps, humidity is accurate but not really relevant as it will be down in the normal range in a few hours. Also before I forget to mention it both feeds were about 550ppm at exactly half of the feeding schedules dosings so thats about where I want it, slightly lighter than normal. I think there is still food trapped in the soil so I dont really wanna go ham on feeding.

So I think this will be my last week in veg. That will be an almost 60 day veg period. With that said its been almost a week since my last post and a lot has changed in that time.

First up Tangerine Dream. Did a defoliation an some lollipopping today so I have a before and after pic. Its hard to tell the differemce since 90% of what I cut was underneath

This plant is to the point where even in a 10 gallon, I am watering every 3 days. Its insane how much this plant drinks.

Now to the Lemon Tree. Didnt do anything to this plant but its doing extremely well.

The lemon tree had me worried the first month of growth and the only reason I vegged for 2 full months was to let the lemon tree bulk up more otherwise I probably would have flipped on day 40.

Im 3 days into flower on my plants, the tangerine dream has preflowers everwhere and the lemon tree just started showing so I switched to 12/12.

Havent been giving the girls the love they need though, pots were hydrophobic again. But at least this time its because I found a free fairly good freshwater spring near me an I got water after I noticed how light the pots were. Threw a heavy dose of sledgehammer in there to get some yucca in and break up the surface tension of the water, after the initial 1/4 gallon the water started sinking straight in and each got a total of 2 gallons. They are a bit droopy and some of the older foliage looks like its really holding on to nitrogen they are green as hell. Ive barely been feeding them too, to be safe I recalibrated my ph tester and gave them water at 6.25ph.

Gonna prune them up real nice in a bout a week or so. Then maybe 1 more time towards the end of stretch I'll do a light defoliation directly over bud sites.

Didnt get any preflower pics. The ladies are stressed enough from poor watering, Im not gonna manhandle them and stress them out more right now.

During the last couple weeks I have been car shopping, really fed up with my current car. Decided on going with the 2023 Subaru WRX. Been a dream car of mine and now that its got the performance and the luxuries of a good daily driving sedan I thought it was time to pick one up. Its still being delivered to the dealer where I found it, so Ive been more focused on that lately. Suppose to come in tomorrow but the dealer said trucks have been running days behind since car prices started dropping so we'll see.

Decided to just do the pruning today. Chopped off a ton from the tangerine, and quite a bit from the lemon tree. Heres a pic of what I cut

The stretch has started on both plants, node distance has increased and plants are at least 2 to 3 inches taller than 2 days ago. 2 happy healthy girls.

Been a minute since my last update. Lots of headaches from this car buying process. Learning a lot I didnt know.

Anyway plants have grown a lot in the past week. Gave them a heavy watering as like this whole time Ive been neglecting them. 2 full gallons of ph6.35 of actual freshwater spring water. Plants really like it. Tops on the lemon tree look yellower than they are, but the tangerine dream is a little yellow all around. I did give it tiny bit of grow big, tiger bloom and big bloom. Not much at all but enough to give it a good bump.

Id say they are pushing 3 ft a little over 2 weeks into flower so we'll see how big they get. Im excited to see some buds.
