This is just a thought, but does anyone start their cure a little earlier than usual in the dead of winter? I noticed that my first harvest/cure is about 56/57% in the jars at the moment. I did a long slow dry at ~15 days and waited for the snap. Just asking as the RH is in the low 30's in my house without intervention with a humidifier. Is 55% on the low side of RH inside the jars? I wanted to wait a couple of weeks before introducing any humidity packs, to see the buds adjust on their own. I just did a test on my second plant that made a very slight cracking sound when bent and jarred a part of the plant. I will see where it is in a day or so.
