Narnia has got nothing on the Space Trilogy. We're talking Merlin and aliens, spirituality not christianity, and very esoteric undertones. CS Lewis best work however, in my opinion, was the Screwtape Letters.

It's a series of letters back and forth between the Dean of Satans school of temptation and his nephew on his first missions to earth.
 
binge read the first three books(i have a trilogy book).....and failed....again....on the second:crying:

i believe the total exceeds 30 books of dragonlance ....

only about 8-12 are good .. and they are really specific tired down to the D&D world ...

much better fantasy to be found ! they had their day !
