Grow Mediums do your autopot tray go this dry??

Hi friends!
Not sure if this video has been shared already but it's the first time i've seen it.



It apparently shows how a proper autopot tray should empty before it fills back up... which my 3 autopot trays do not do!! I cant views comment on the video so not sure if it was a fluke in that particular tray, but I have 1 black Aquavale and two of the gray ones, and while the gray ones do sit flush against the bottom of the tray, the black one doesnt but all three behave the same... they get activated way before what is shown in that video... in mine there is still about 5 mm of water where in the video it's basically dry!

what do you all think of this?

I've got 4 of the black and grey ones and they never came close to being dry like that. Maybe that's why I could never get plants to finish well in them

Never found mine to be that empty either but not much above it.

Mine have a tiny bit of water left before they refill. Also nce there's not enough vacuum to hold the valve closed it's going to open. If working correctly I don't think it will be completely dry.
