Embarassing noob question: how to identify a bud-site?

this is really embarrassing but I have to ask: what does a bud-site look like during veg?

Does anyone have a picture that clearly shows them?

This is my first grow and its all new to me, im trying to figure out how many I have.

Hi @rpavich Welcome to AFN. The growing tips are bud sites and generally form the largest "Colas" The crotch formed by leaves and stems can be bud sites. See them circled on your plant. PS. see the thread about Sideways Pictures.
