I’m about two weeks into an outdoor grow here in Ireland, thought I would post progress after lurking a lot and getting valuable info.
Some background: I’ve done a very small indoor grow years ago but never considered outdoors here due to climate but was over at a friends place who’s green fingers gave me inspiration. I was a bit late in the season getting started so went for what are hopefully some v quick autos. Under no illusions though and not expecting a huge haul, in it for the learning, fun and relaxation of putting my mind to the project and off the day to day!
Seeds: Amnesia Sticky Beast x3
Soil: Was recommended Cré mix, an Irish made organic product filled with kelp and other good stuff.
Pots: Had 2 11l Fabric pots one unknown plastic from the shed
Germination: straight in the soil in fabric for two. One of them went into a biodegradable cardboard starter and under a propagator inside
Outdoor location: have them in a cheap mini greenhouse on the sunny side of the garden. Probably getting about 10hrs of direct sun (when it’s out)
Hard to tell from the photos but they’re about 6” tall. Had left them out on the deck for a bit of air but wind picked up and one of them took a bashing. Stood him up with toothpicks and back in the house, seems to be solid now after a day or two.
I haven’t used any nutes yet (when?) and only watering v lightly every couple of days.
Been pretty cloudy here recently. Will give first bit of nutes tomorrow before going away for the weekend. Have already realised a mistake, think I should have filled the pots more to make it easier/quicker to lst.

You might be able to fold the sides of the fabric ones over, if they spring back try using safety pins. As for the plastic 1 maybe drill some small holes in the side for anchor points?
