There's more, and details but that's the most important bits. The 50g (dried) threshold means it's best to do a rolling harvest on top of a perpetual time-shifted grow so you always have something to smoke but never too much.

What about edibles? You can always infuse your older bud into something for storage that way….opening up space for your next harvest.

if it contains thc it counts towards the 50g, so if i made 250g butter.. that'd be 250gramms

each person can have 50g, yes. but you can't have 150gram in one container.

yeah but i'm always a bit paranoid about lipids, so I'm just gonna go the hash=>rosin route

what if I store at home and have an extra 50grams in a rented garage that does not belong to the apartment (in another street for example)
