Indoor Growing Scrog

12ish hrs from other root pic. They're coming out all sides.

I was asked if this is basically dwc with extra steps. My reply was that it's like dwc. We get better aeration in rockwool and it acts as a short term buffer if something happens. We also don't have the res temp issues.

Gas, are you running your regular pump, the one you've been using, 24-7? Or are you using a smaller pump with less flow?
You've reminded me that I messed up the timer the first time I programmed it, and the pump ran for at least 12 hours. I had the same kind of root growth you're experiencing. I've linked to this before, but I wonder if drip fertigation, ( constant ) has its advantages ...

Yeah same pumps. I went all in and put big momma and Lil stubby on 24/7 too. I'll check that video out later when I got a minute. I'm thinking constant is the way.

Watched the vid. I don't think drippers or less flow is better. The more flow the fresher everything is and the more solution flowing thru the cubes the more oxygen that's being pulled in. Just my thoughts. The science might say different.

More feet pics. I haven't seen growth like this before so it's exciting. Also a shot of the res EC today. She has been eating that's for sure. Letting the silica for a new batch dissolve as I'm typing this. Target is 2.4 EC.

MIxed it a little strong since its getting diluted with the 1.5. Almost hit the target and good enough.

Another benefit of high flow is the extra oxygen in the res mix. When the solution pours back into the res and disturbs the surface it brings oxygen with it. I already had an airstone by the pump inlet and my res is angled towards the pump with the tray return dumping back in right above the pump inlet. So its always the freshest mix around the pump. Now with continuous return its even better. Maybe overkill. I think water will only hold so much oxygen.

I don’t have high flow just gravity, but I love 24/7 feeding with my autopots and trays. Just sitting on the capillary mat produces some nice root porn

Nice! I havent given up on growing in organic soil so autopots is something im looking at. I want to get away from hand watering. I feel like thats the choke point in my grows. That and root zone temp.
